Teenagers of today’s age are tired of acne’s problem. The changes in hormone levels make their skin a bit rough. The time you see your friend’s glowing skin, you feel bad. Don’t worry…!!! You can get rid of  acne at home itself. There are so many remedies available for treating acne and making your skin as glowing as it used to be.

Here are some best home remedies you can try for acne:

 

Baking Soda:

It is gentle exofoliant which removes dead skin and opens the pores of your skin. Its antiseptic property helps our skin in regulating pH balance. Theses characteristic makes it an excellent remedy for acne. Use this baking soda as mentioned below:

Directions for Use:

  1. You can make a paste of baking soda along with water and apply it on the skin.
  1. You can also prepare a mixture of baking soda, lemon juice, honey and cinnamon powder. Apply it over the face and keep it for 5 minutes and then wash it.

Do this once a week and you will see the results.

 

Oatmeal:

Oily skin is more prone to Acne. Don’t worry..!!! Oatmeal is there to absorb the oil from your skin. It acts as a cleansing agent and open all the pores which are blocked and provide a glow to the skin.

Directions for Use:

  1. Prepare a mixture of oatmeal, lemon juice and honey.
  2. Rub this paste over your skin for 10 minutes and then leave it for half an hour.

Then Wash this with cold water.

 

Lemon Juice:

Its acidic nature will help in treating acne. It cleanses all the dirt which has been accumulated on your face and pores. If your skin is dry, then I use it twice a week and if it is oily then you can use it daily.

Directions for Use:

  1. Take a slice of lemon and rub it over the whole face for 5 minutes. Leave it for an hour before washing your face.
  1. You can mix rose water along with lemon juice for giving a glowing effect to your skin. Wash your face with this liquid.

Paste of Papaya:

Papaya is used as an ingredient in a lot of beauty products. Raw papaya is also a lot beneficial product for your skin. It helps in reducing acne leaving smooth and soft skin after wash.

Directions for Use:

  1. Take papaya and mash it properly so that remaining paste can be easily applied to your skin.
  2. Leave the paste for 15-20 minutes and then wash your face with hot water.

If your skin is dry, then apply some cream/ moisturizer.

 

Orange Peel Paste:

Oranges are so appealing for your skin just like the taste buds. Oranges are rich in Vitamin C which helps to unblock the pores and remove bacteria from our skin.

Directions for Use:

  1. Take orange peel and grind it with the help of a blender. Add water to the paste and apply it onto your skin. But make sure the paste is thin enough.
  2. Leave it for 10-15 minutes and then wash it with the water.

Apply moisturizer after wash so that your skin won’t get dry

 

Strawberries and Honey:

These are the most common ingredients used for facials or scrubs. The reason being is Strawberry has got an acidic property (Salicyclic acid) which helps in opening up pores and neutralizes the effect of bacteria.

Directions for Use:

  1. Take 3-4 strawberries and mash them properly.
  2. Add one spoon of honey into it and blend them together.
  3. Apply the paste over the acnes and leave it for 20 minutes. Wash your face with warm water and observe your glowing skin.

 

Aloe-Vera:

Aloe-Vera can fight against acne individually and with several other products too. You can grow an aloe plant in your house or can buy some aloe-Vera cream from markets with less number of additives involved.

 

Directions for Use:

 

  1. Take out the gel from Aloe leaf and apply it gently over the affected areas of acne.
  2. Leave it for sometime and then wash your face with water.
