  • Amber Fort, Jaipur



Amber fort is one of the most crowd-pulling forts in India. It is located in capital city of Rajasthan i.e. Jaipur. Its architecture style is an amalgamation of Rajput, Hindu and Mughal culture.  This artistic structure was built by Raja Man Singh I in 1592. It is constructed using red sandstone and has terrific four level layout plan which has a mesmerizing effect.  Maota Lake near this fort enhances its aesthetic beauty.


  • Chittorgarh Fort, Chittorgarh


Chittorgarh fort is one of the largest forts in India in terms of area. It has covered an area of 5 km over the hills. It is a true symbol of pride that emphasizes on bravery and chivalry of Mewar Family. It has several Royal palaces of Maharajas, Queens’s palace, temples, Victory tower, museum etc. Government here arranged a light show in the evening for the tourists so that they can know the history behind this fort.


  • Jhansi Fort, Uttar Pradesh


This outstanding architecture was built by Raja Bir Singh Deo of Orchha in 1613. It is located on the Bangra hills in Jhansi. It is expanded over 15 acres which depicts the lifestyle of Queen Rani Lakshmi Bai. It is surrounded with giant walls and twenty-two supports on both sides with Ganesh temple constructed at the entrance. Lion hearted queen used to reside here during the war with East India Company, 1857.

Agra fort is another gemstone in Agra. It easily portrays ups and downs of Mughal dynasty with its architecture. It was constructed using red sandstones with 70 feet high walls. It is a giant structure located across Yamuna River whose interior consist of green lawns and vegetation. The fort is also there in the list of UNESCO’s World Heritage site.

This fort easily depicts the royalty and lap of luxuries enjoyed by the Rajput rulers. It is the one of the largest forts in India and built of yellow coloured sandstones. When sunrays hits these marble you can witnessed a golden tinge over these stones. Because of this it is well-known as Golden fort and sometimes Sonar Quila too. Junagarh fort is a well-known fort situated in Bikaner district of Rajasthan. It is a massive structure which is also known as Chintamani. It is an outstanding structure which depict mix architectural cultures and style. Red Colour marbles and two statues of elephants at the gate gives us a glance of Rajput architectural style. It encompasses various temples, pavilions and gates.

Red Fort is a true symbol of Pride for our country which was built by Shahjahan in 17th Century in Delhi. It is originally known as ‘Quila-e-Mubarak’ as Maharaja’s family used to reside in this.   • Daulatabad Fort, Aurangabad


This fort was built by the Rashtrakuta kings on a pyramid-shaped mountain hills. It is located in Daulatabad, which is in the outskirts of Aurangabad. It has several green lawns around it which fills your heart and mind with full of peace. It encompasses three concentric walls and rock around it can make your climbing difficult.

Golkonda Fort was built by Kakatiya Dynasty and was ruled by Maharaja Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah Wali. Very less number of people knows about this fort and about its architectural beauty that lies in its domes, doors, entrances and temples. It is located on granite hills where some vaults were made to protect and store Kohinoor and other Hope Diamonds.

Srirangapatnam Fort is well-known by the name Tipu Sultan’s palace. It is one of the famous forts in Karnatake which is situated near to Kaveri River. It encompasses The Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan, Rangantittu Sanctuary and mosque too. It comes under one of the prominent places for tourists in Karnataka.
