Male || fe’Male’

We are living in the world where there are two types of human beings one is Male and the other we call as Female. In our routine we have seen people talking about gender equality. Lets focus on what is gender equality and how many of us believe in that. Gender equality also known as sex equality, gender egalitarianism, sexual equality. It means men and women should receive equal treatment. But now the question arises do they really receive equal treatment.

We have so far succeeded in saving the girl child through various awareness programs. We have changed the perception of many people about female foeticide. But ruefully we have to accept that we have failed to mitigate the urge of having a boy child.

No doubt nowadays people want girl child but with a boy. But if she is single girl child then she has to struggle a lot to be the “Boy” of the family. At every step of her life she has to prove that she is no less than a “He”. Since her childhood, she has to play two roles, she is tender and fragile like a girl but at the same time she has to be strong and act like a pillar of the family. Parents generally say about their girls “She is not our girl, she is our boy”. Is it right to compare our girls with boys? We need to understand Girls and Boys are two different species.  We have to stop comparing between them. Both can do some things better than the other.

There are families who say “we have grown up our girl like a boy”. Why like a boy when she is a girl? Girls are beautiful creation of God. Treat them as a girl, believe in her as a girl she can touch the heights, appreciate them as a girl when she does something good. So that no girl ever again try to be a Boy at the cost of her dignity.
