Appalling Unsolved Mysteries of all time!

The human mind is curious and we’re always on a pursuit of gaining constant knowledge. However, we cannot answer everything. There have been instances that have puzzled the human mind for years and some still continue to do so. Some of these include:

1. The Bermuda Triangle

Now we’ve all probably heard of this at some point but it’s one the greatest unsolved mysteries of all time. Included in this list is the infamous “Flight 19”, a group of 5 bombers who went on a routine training exercise in 1945 and never returned. There is also the case of the USS Cyclops, a US Navy boat that disappeared in 1918 with all 309 crew on board as well as the Connemara IV, a pleasure yacht, found adrift in 1955 with all the crew missing. Mysterious isn’t it?

2) The case of zodiac letters

This is the case of a serial killer operating in California in the 1960’s and 70’s,who sent taunting letters to the local press, referring to himself as “Zodiac” and including a total of four cryptograms. What’s shocking? Only one of his letters has been decoded with the rest remaining unsolved. The case remains open for anyone to solve. There has also been a movie made based on the mystery.

3) McCormick’s Murder

On June 30, 1999, the body of Ricky McCormick was found in Missouri. What’s puzzling about this case is that Mccormick had been missing only for 72 hours but his body was badly decomposed. Many years later, the FBI revealed two notes found in the victim’s pocket written in a complex cypher.

McCormick could barely write his own name so it was a case of murder. Nobody has been able to decipher the notes yet. Let’s just say that the murderer is still on the loose.

4) The Loch Ness Monster

On December 6, 1933, the Daily Express published a photo of a “monster” that was apparently lurking in Scotland’s Loch Ness. Since that time there have been theories,investigations,calls of a hoax and countless reported sightings of  monsters swimming within the dark waters of the Loch. However, there hasn’t been any concrete evidence to rest the case.

5) The bizarre  death of Eliza lam

The unusual death of Eliza Lam in 2013 on the rooftop water tanks of Hotel Cecil in Los Angeles still remains as an unsolved mystery. The CCTV footage of her last moments are bizarre in every single way as she appears talking to an unnatural spirit in the elevator. Even her autopsy revealed death due to unknown circumstances. The hotel is said to be haunted.It has since then become a source of fascination for internet sleuths around the world, owing in part to elevator surveillance footage that surfaced online.
