The Right Ways to Drink Coffee
If you profoundly regret your coffee habit, then you can change it; you can make the most of it. Every time you gulp a cup of freshly filtered coffee find it impossible to curb the addiction, there are but a few changes that you can make so that it doesn’t harm you as much:
Homemade: Start taking the initial steps at home to benefit the most from this regime. Don’t go and buy ready-made coffee where just a glass of milk or water is required. Grind the coffee beans at home itself. If it’s convenient for you, choose organic coffee.
After 10 AM: As per researches, it has been proven that the first two to three hours after you wake up, your body has high cortisone level already. So you don’t need a cup of coffee instantly to keep your body alive. Grab your mug after few hours when your cortisone level drops.
Tip: Opt for your first cup for the day once you reach your office or at work, this will also reduce the time available for you to drink more coffee.
Drink coffee with your meal: Avoid drinking coffee at dinner when you can very well go for a cup during your lunch. Gulp a cup of coffee an hour after lunch or breakfast, if you start feeling sleepy.
It is advised to avoid the consumption of coffee at night or during dinner because it disturbs your sleep, desisting you from a sound sleep.
The best way to drink it: You think drinking coffee is bad? NO. The wrong way of drinking it is bad. Change your style of drinking coffee by switching normal milk to soy milk or almond milk and substituting sugar with honey. If possible, drink black coffee.
A glass of water after: After consuming any caffeinated drink, make sure you top it up with a glass of water. Coffee has diuretic properties which makes you pee more often therefore you should drink more water to compensate for the loss of water.
Add cinnamon and cocoa: Both cinnamon and cocoa have different health benefits so you can add them with your coffee as they mix well with the combination too.
Use filter paper: Filter paper helps in sieving all the diterpenes but lets the caffeine pass through your brewed coffee.
Make sure that you do not exceed your daily consumption of coffee as an adult to more than 400 mg. So the next time you grab your cup of coffee, keep the above in mind and you won’t even feel guilty anymore.
