The Most Popular Cartoon Shows of the 90s
Growing up, cartoon shows were an inevitable part of our lives. We would do anything (anything here, includes completing our homework on time, eating tinde ki subzi, not fighting with our siblings, gulping the glass of milk in one go and other such sacrifices which were a big deal to us back then) to seat ourselves in front of the television and peacefully watch our favourite cartoon shows.
Here is a list of the most popular cartoon shows of the 90s:
- DEXTER’S LABORATORY
Our naive brains were so fascinated with the huge laboratory that Dexter used to work in. His sister Dee Dee used to add up to the humour of the show and we were impressed by how he managed to keep the huge laboratory and his inventions a secret from his parents!
- THE POWERPUFF GIRLS
Blossoms, Bubbles and Buttercup! The girls, along with their inventor-dad (also a professor!) gave us a daily dose of action and humour. Oh, and not to forget, the coolest villain, Mojo Jojo!
- COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG
This show spooked us and made us smile too! Courage, the timid dog who had to save his beloved owner, Muriel, and her scowly husband, Eustace, from all the ghosts that kept visiting them, entertained us off the limits.
- THE SYLVESTER AND TWEETY MYSTERIES
How we used to love the cute waddling granny and her detective missions! And it was fun to see Sylvester and Tweety helping her in the missions and teasing each other simultaneously.
- JOHNNY BRAVO
Johnny Bravo taught us how to be confident and love ourselves. With his machismo and narcissism overflowing, this show was a super hit and definitely one of our favourites! I won’t be exaggerating if I said that his tight black t shirt and blue jeans with black shades made a fashion statement which was followed by many guys who wanted to be like him!
So this was a short list of some of our favourite cartoon shows. Please feel free to add other shows that I missed out on, in the comments. HAPPY CARTOON MARATHON!
